Aster CEO Leonard confirmed a collaboration with World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a crypto startup linked to the Trump family, during a private Dubai conference. The partnership aims to expand adoption of WLFI's USD1 stablecoin among institutional traders and digital asset platforms.

The closed-door event drew 176 attendees including perpetual exchange operators, stablecoin researchers, and DeFi founders. Leonard later tweeted about 'exploring USD1 adoption pathways' with WLFI, though neither party disclosed financial terms or technical integration details.

Market observers note the move comes as regulatory scrutiny intensifies on fiat-backed stablecoins, with Tether and Circle dominating 90% of the $160B sector. WLFI's political connections could accelerate Aster's institutional outreach despite crypto's contentious election-year dynamics.
